身陷美国货币市场基金投资泥淖的中国投资有限责任公司（下称“中投”）能否全身而退，又生悬念。
尽管中投公司昨天（10月16日）公开声明，中投公司目前并非是美国The Reserve管理的Primary Fund的股东投资者而是债权人，并已于日前向The Reserve管理的Primary Fund提出了偿还全部本息的要求。但这样的诉求似乎并未能得到美国Primary Fund的认同。
而The Reserve随后专门针对该问题在其网站上回应称，Stable Investment Corp.不会优先于The Reserve管理的Primary Fund其他投资者获得清偿资金，且所获清偿额度取决于最终清盘计划。
Stable Investment Corp.是中投旗下子公司。中投公司通过Stable Investment Corp.持有Reserve Primary基金的11.1％法人股权，大约投资额度有54亿美元，而近期Reserve Primary基金因投资雷曼兄弟损失而引发大规模的赎回，要求赎回的资金规模约400亿元占公司管理资产的六成多，而该基金返还给投资者的资金只有100亿美元，并向监管机构申请允许其无限期暂停返回资金，该基金当前进入清算阶段，由此引发市场对中投公司50余亿元的担忧。
中投公司称，之前公司曾投资于该基金，但在该基金宣布停盘前已发出了全盘赎回指令，并且Primary Fund已书面确认将返还中投公司的全部本息。中投表示，根据相关法律，其不应承担可能面临的3％本金损失。因为相关的赎回工作发生在基金停盘前，所以不会承担上述损失。
Primary Fund已宣布于近日进行第一批资金返还，总额将达所欠投资资金的35％左右。目前，Primary Fund正在美国证券交易委员会的指导下制定剩余款项的返还计划。
而值得关注的是，The Reserve并未说明是否在清盘以前受到了中投的赎回指令。

New York, October 15, 2008 – In response to recent news articles and inquiries relating to Stable Investment Corp., an affiliate of China Investment Corp., The Reserve would like to clarify that Stable Investment Corp. is an investor in the Reserve Primary Fund and will be receiving distributions from the Fund in accordance with the final Plan of Liquidation. Stable Investment Corp. will not receive any funds prior to other investors in the Primary Fund, and the price per share it receives will be determined by the final Plan of Liquidation.
